Join us on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th, as the City of Hamilton hosts a community sunrise ceremony & afternoon event at West Harbour - James St. N. Plaza - to come together to commemorate and honour residential school survivors, their families and communities.

Hamilton West Harbour at the foot of James St. North (North of Guise St. East)
The afternoon will be filled with Indigenous knowledge sharing, a Survivor’s Story, Education and Reflection.
Hosted by the City of Hamilton’s Indigenous Relations Team, Placemaking and Public Art Section and welcome guests - Mohawk Institute Survivor, Moccasin Identifier, Spirit Vision Drummers.
Indigenous snacks provided (while quantities last).
